MSHA - 30 CFR Part 46 Miner Training

Description:
Thomas Safety Solutions
provides high quality mine safety training to mine employees and is
delivered by an instructor qualified by the United States
Department of Labor, MSHA.
Our
seminars are designed in compliance with federal requirements to
offer miners of all experience levels useful, comprehensive, and
effective training, and meet or exceed workplace training
requirements for MSHA.
Part
46 applies to shell dredging, sand, gravel, surface stone, surface
clay, colloidal phosphate, and surface limestone mines.
The
New Miner Seminar:
The New Miner seminar offered at Thomas Safety Solutions is for
miners that are new or are starting at surface mines or quarries.
This seminar is a three-day seminar (24
hours of training) and meets the Mine Safety and Health
Administration's (MSHA) requirement for training that all miners and
contractors must have to work in a mine or quarry.
Seminar Topics covered, but
not limited to:
Line of Authority;
Introduction to the Mining Environment; Statutory Rights of Miners;
Hazard Recognition and Avoidance; Emergency Procedures; Hazard
Communication; Health and Safety Aspects of Tasks and Operations;
Hazard Reporting Rules and Procedures; Self-Rescue and Respiratory
Devices; First Aid.
Total Hours: 24 Hours
The
Newly Hired Experienced Miner Seminar:
The
Newly Hired Experienced Miner seminar is for miners who have
received new miner training under Part 46, and has at least 12
months' cumulative experience in surface mines or quarries.
This seminar is a two-day seminar (16
hours of training) and meets the Mine Safety and Health
Administration's (MSHA) requirement for training that all miners and
contractors must have to work in a mine or quarry.
Seminar Topics covered, but not limited to:
Line of Authority;
Introduction to the Mining Environment; Statutory Rights of Miners;
Hazard Recognition and Avoidance; Emergency Procedures; Hazard
Communication; Health and Safety Aspects of Tasks and Operations;
Hazard Reporting Rules and Procedures; Self-Rescue and Respiratory
Devices.
Total Hours: 16 Hours
The
Annual Miner Refresher Seminar:
The
Annual Miner Refresher seminar is for miners who have
received new miner training under Part 46, and must occur within 12
months of starting work or last annual refresher.
This seminar is a one-day seminar (8
hours of training) and covers major changes which may adversely
affect safety and health as well as other topics specified in the
mine safety training plan.
This seminar meets the Mine Safety and
Health Administration's (MSHA) requirement for training that all
miners and contractors must have to continue work in a mine or
quarry.
Seminar Topics covered, but not limited to:
Introduction/Changes to the
Mining Environment; Statutory Rights of Miners; Hazard Recognition
and Avoidance; Emergency Procedures; Hazard Communication;
Self-Rescue and Respiratory Devices.
Total Hours: 8 Hours
You should be aware of what regulations cover your activity at
the mine. There may be
additional training requirements or stipulations not covered
here. Every MSHA training
seminar we present closely matches the template for Part 46
training provided by MSHA.
Seminar
Objective:
The objective of the MSHA safety training seminars offered at Thomas
Safety Solutions is to assist mine operators and mining
contractors with their training and retraining of miners on the
safety and health hazards at surface mines or quarries to prevent
or reduce the frequency and severity of injuries in the mining
industry. Participants
will learn their rights and responsibilities, job related safety
procedures, rescue and first aid techniques, and much more.
There is an
exam at the end of each seminar, which requires a minimum score of
70% or better to pass. Upon successful seminar
completion, participants
will
receive a certificate from Thomas Safety Solutions and their MSHA
Form 5000-23 Certificate of Training. Call for pricing,
