COMPETENT PERSON SEMINAR

Description:
This Excavation and Trenching Competent Person Seminar is intended
for individuals designated as The Excavation Competent Person, by
their employer, during excavation and trenching activities, which
may include managers, supervisors, lead workers or operators. It
provides a fundamental understanding of OSHA's Excavation and
Trenching Standards for the Competent Person. This seminar
will cover OSHA's Excavation Standard.
Seminar
Objective:
Upon
successful completion of the seminar, participants will be
familiar with regulations, requirements and
related issues; understand the responsibilities of "The Excavation
Competent Person";
be
able to recognize
existing and predictable conditions that are
hazardous or dangerous; be familiar with soils analysis and
soils classification systems.
This seminar is designed to provide the
necessary training and safety awareness component to meet and
exceed the requirements of "The Excavation Competent Person" as
defined in OSHA's Excavation Standard.

There is an
exam at the end of this seminar, which requires a minimum score of
70% or better to pass. Upon successful seminar
completion, participants will receive a certificate and a seminar
