CONFINED SPACE ENTRY SEMINAR - 29 CFR 1910.146

Description:
This 8 Hour Confined
Space Entry Seminar is designed to meet and exceed the training
requirements of the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.146 for confined
space entry. It will
enable participants
to safely and confidently understand and evaluate the hazards and
procedures associated with confined spaces;
differentiate between a
permit-required confined space and a non-permit-required confined
space; and will
learn to recognize, evaluate, prevent, and abate safety and health hazards
associated with permit-required confined space entry. This
seminar will address the hazards associated with confined spaces and it will
outline the duties and responsibilities of all members of a
confined space entry team, emergency rescue procedures, and plan
development.
It will also address the need for
appropriate personal protective equipment and the selection
characteristics for each level of protection. Topics include the
recognition of confined space hazards, entry procedures, rescue
equipment, testing and monitoring for hazardous atmospheres, ventilation
requirements, personal protective equipment, and permit system.

Objective:
This seminar is
designed to
provide the participant
with an awareness and general knowledge of confined spaces, and
will provide the necessary training and safety awareness so
that the participant will be able to recognize, evaluate, prevent,
and abate safety and health hazards associated with
permit-required confined space entry.
Upon successful
completion of this seminar, participants will be able to
understand the hazards associated with
confined spaces; become knowledgeable of the OSHA standards for
safeguarding confined space entries; learn the duties and
responsibilities of the confined space entry team and achieve
familiarity with atmospheric testing equipment and entrance
equipment.
